Røst, Norway
070508 – 0512
Me and and three friends took a few days off and flew up to the solicitated island Røst, just outside Lofoten in Norway. The mission was to catch fish. The bigger the better. Unfortunately for me (and Axel & Richard), it was Joakim who caugth the biggest swimming creature, a halibut weighing 46,58 kilos. Nevertheless, it was a pretty stunning adventure among eagles, harsh coastlines and crystal clear water. Plus, the fish of course. I personally set a new personal best with a cod weighing 15,62 kilos =)

Zanzibar
070204 – 0214
Photos and underwater video from the trip to Zanzibar. The UV-video is shot with a Canon Ixus 800 IS, used together with a WP DC-5 underwater housing (no external light though). I bought the Ixus just to be able to shoot moving pictures from below the surface, and the camera delivers fine 640x480 imagery in a whopping 30 fps. The hardest bit was actually to hold the tiny camera steady whilst moving in the water.

Photos from a sunny week on the salty islands in the west. Also included are a series of images showing what can happen when a father brings his lads on a fishing trip on a bumpy sea. I think it's called 'sea sickness'. Hehe.

Mauritius

Blended pixelation from the trip to Mauritius, situated in the middle of the Indian Ocean. A trip filled with nice weather, big game fishing, snorkelling, sailing and extremely tasty food (the chef's at Le Cannonier Hotel really know what they're doing!).
